St Patrick’s Day

I love St. Patrick’s Day! The Green everything just is fun.  So, for St. Patrick’s day I made an all green meal.  It actually tasted really good, and was quite entertaining.

So, I made Chicken in (green) cream of mushroom soup with mashed potatoes dyed green.  Green beans of course and applesauce dyed green.  We topped it all off with green banana cupcakes with green icing.  It was really fun!

To top it off, I had church meetings that evening and I brought all green treats to share.  The cupcakes, of course, and some cucumber and green peppers with green ranch dip.  Then we had some pears and green grapes!  So funny.  The committee really enjoyed it.  Can’t wait for next year!

JAZZ baby

So, Jason got “Thoroughly Modern Millie” from Netflix.  It was a fun movie and the kids thought it was funny.  I didn’t think Ethan was into it, until…

If you can’t understand, He’s singing “Jazz Baby” that Carol Channing Sings

If you need a comparison because you haven’t seen the movie…

A Proud Cub Scout

Kyler Cubs

We recently had a Stake (kind of like a bunch of congregations joined together) Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet (that’s a mouthful).  Kyler was SUPER excited to go.  It was a huge day for him as he had a birthday party at a fun indoor water park and then we went to this banquet for him. He had a blast.  The man overseeing it was FABULOUS and the boys really seemed interested and to have a good time.  Kyler received a few awards and I wish we had an accurate picture or video of him on the stage.  He’s a big ham!  For their skit they did a boy scout jodie. It cracks Kyler up every time.

Birdie, birdie in the sky

Why’d you drop whitewash in my eye

I’m no sissy I won’t cry

I’m just glad that cows don’t fly.

I wish you could see him sing it.  He can’t even hardly finish the last line without laughing, and anyone who’s heard Kyler laugh knows that it’s definitely contagious!

Rope Suspension

On Tuesday night Jason was working with the scouts on rope bridging and I had to be at church for another reason so Ethan was hanging out between the two of us (Connie and Kyler had their own activities) and Ethan wanted to try out the rope bridge.  He was really good at it, as you can see in the video…

Go Ethan Go!
